EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Since 1960, American Public Works Association (APWA) has sponsored National Public Works Week (NPWW). NPWW is a celebration of the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who work in professions that provide and maintain public facilities and services collectively known as public works. Across the nation, NPWW calls attention to the importance of public works in community life. This year NPWW will be celebrated May 19 - 25, 2019. The week seeks to increase public awareness of their contributions as well as to enlighten the public about the duties, practices, and goals of public works professionals.

Adopt a Resolution proclaiming May 19-25, 2019 National public Works Week at the Port of San Diego
